Wordhoard Privacy Policy

Wordhoard is built to be private by design. The app works entirely offline, and we do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information — full stop.

Data we collect

None.

Wordhoard has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no tracking of any kind. The app never connects to the internet.

Data stored on your device

Wordhoard keeps a small amount of data on your device so the app works the way you left it:

• Your settings (how many words per day, difficulty level)
• Your favorites, “known” words, and custom word lists
• The current position in the word-of-the-day rotation

This data never leaves your device. On iOS, a portion of it (the upcoming word schedule) is shared with the Wordhoard widget through Apple's App Group container, which is private to the app and inaccessible to other apps. Deleting the app permanently deletes all of this data.

Third-party services

Wordhoard uses no third-party services, SDKs, or APIs that collect data. The full dictionary and all fonts are bundled inside the app.

Tracking and your rights

Wordhoard does not track you across apps or websites, and no advertising identifiers are accessed. Because no personal data is ever collected, rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA — access, correction, deletion, portability — are satisfied trivially: there is nothing to request, and nothing to delete beyond removing the app.

Children's privacy

Wordhoard is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no data from anyone, we collect no data from children.

Changes to this policy

If Wordhoard's privacy practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above revised before any change takes effect.
